We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team at the Louisiana Department of Health - Office of Public Health - Region 3. If you are passionate about applying your legal expertise in a public health setting, then this is the role for you!
Position: Legal Compliance Specialist
Location: Louisiana - Region 3
About the Role:
- Work collaboratively with our legal and health teams to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Review and analyze complex legislation, statutes, and regulations impacting public health initiatives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain legal compliance within the public health sector.
- Advise on legal considerations for public health programs, investigations, and enforcement actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in law, public policy, or related field; J.D. preferred.
- Proven experience in legal analysis, compliance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, regulatory compliance, and legal research methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
