Sampson County Friends for Animals is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Legal Advocacy Specialist. Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and analysis on animal protection laws and regulations.
Collaborate with local authorities and legal entities to ensure the enforcement of animal welfare statutes.
Develop and implement legal strategies to support the organization's mission and objectives.
Provide legal guidance and support to the organization's initiatives, programs, and operations.
Advocate for the enactment of new legislation to enhance animal rights and environmental conservation.
Represent the organization in legal proceedings and advocate for the fair treatment of animals.

Requirements:

A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the State Bar of North Carolina with a good standing.
Demonstrated experience in legal advocacy or related fields, preferably with a focus on animal welfare or environmental law.
Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.
A deep commitment to animal welfare and environmental conservation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Passion for driving positive change and advancing the rights of animals through legal means.
