Sampson County Friends for Animals is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Legal Advocacy Specialist. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on animal protection laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with local authorities and legal entities to ensure the enforcement of animal welfare statutes.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies to support the organization's mission and objectives.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to the organization's initiatives, programs, and operations.
  • Advocate for the enactment of new legislation to enhance animal rights and environmental conservation.
  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings and advocate for the fair treatment of animals.

Requirements:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of North Carolina with a good standing.
  • Demonstrated experience in legal advocacy or related fields, preferably with a focus on animal welfare or environmental law.
  • Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • A deep commitment to animal welfare and environmental conservation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passion for driving positive change and advancing the rights of animals through legal means.
