We are excited to announce an opening for a passionate and dedicated Health and Wellness Advocate to join the team at Sicilian Language and History Initiative in beautiful Sicily, Italy. As a Health and Wellness Advocate, you will work at the intersection of language, culture, and healthcare, promoting the well-being of the community through educational initiatives and support services.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and lead health education programs that integrate Sicilian language and history with health and wellness principles.
Collaborate with local healthcare providers and community leaders to create culturally relevant health promotion strategies.
Provide advocacy and support for individuals navigating the healthcare system, with a focus on preserving Sicilian cultural traditions.
Contribute to the research and preservation of historical healthcare practices unique to the Sicilian region.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Passion for Sicilian language, history, and cultural preservation.
Experience in community health, public health, or related fields.
Strong communication and organizational skills with a collaborative and compassionate approach.
Ability to work in a dynamic and culturally diverse environment.
Familiarity with Sicilian dialects and heritage is a plus, but not mandatory.
