This position is ideal for individuals with experience in environmental conservation and a genuine interest in sustainable agriculture and rural development. As a Natural Resource Stewardship Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enriching and preserving our region's natural landscapes, promoting biodiversity, and engaging with local communities to implement sustainable agricultural practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local farmers and landowners to develop and implement sustainable land use strategies
- Conduct ecological assessments and provide guidance on wildlife habitat preservation
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives to encourage sustainable farming practices
- Participate in educational activities to raise awareness about environmental conservation and rural sustainability
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, or related field
- Proven experience in natural resource management, conservation, or sustainable agriculture
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for environmental sustainability and rural development
