Appenzell Ausserrhoden Artists Collective is seeking a dedicated and passionate Natural Resource Stewardship Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in environmental conservation and a genuine interest in sustainable agriculture and rural development. As a Natural Resource Stewardship Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enriching and preserving our region's natural landscapes, promoting biodiversity, and engaging with local communities to implement sustainable agricultural practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with local farmers and landowners to develop and implement sustainable land use strategies
Conduct ecological assessments and provide guidance on wildlife habitat preservation
Coordinate community outreach initiatives to encourage sustainable farming practices
Participate in educational activities to raise awareness about environmental conservation and rural sustainability

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, or related field
Proven experience in natural resource management, conservation, or sustainable agriculture
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for environmental sustainability and rural development
