We are seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join Art Deco Hotel Montana in Lucerne as an Environmental Sustainability Specialist. This challenging and rewarding role will focus on integrating sustainable agricultural practices into our operations, emphasizing conservation, waste reduction, and responsible resource management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable agriculture initiatives, collaborating with local farms and producers to optimize sourcing, and educating our staff and guests on the importance of sustainable practices in the field of hospitality. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our environmental footprint while contributing to the promotion of environmentally friendly practices within the community.

Key responsibilities:

Research and implement environmentally conscious agricultural practices
Establish partnerships with local farmers and suppliers to support sustainable sourcing
Oversee the implementation of organic waste management and recycling programs
Conduct regular training and awareness programs for staff and guests
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives
Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements in sustainable agriculture

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, or related field
Demonstrated experience in sustainable agriculture or rural development
Strong project management and communication skills
Passionate about environmental conservation and sustainable practices
