The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Foundation is seeking a talented and experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Legal Compliance Officer. Position Overview:

As our Legal Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. You will be responsible for conducting thorough legal research, drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements, and regulatory compliance documentation, and providing sound legal guidance to the organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement compliance strategies and ensure that our operations uphold the highest legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
Draft, review, and interpret legal documents and contracts.
Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
Provide guidance on compliance matters to internal teams.
Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field (Juris Doctor preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal compliance role or related field.
Comprehensive understanding of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to wildlife and natural resources.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
