National Institute for the Deaf - KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a dynamic individual to join our diverse team in the role of Multicultural Communication Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to reach and engage multicultural communities
- Create and manage culturally sensitive content for various platforms
- Provide guidance on communication practices to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for the Deaf community
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cohesive messaging and outreach
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Proven experience in multicultural communication or related area
- Understanding of Deaf culture and sign language preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, inclusive environment
- Demonstrated creativity in developing culturally relevant content
- Proficiency in relevant tools and platforms for communication and outreach
