Eco-Sustainability Program Coordinator

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Eco-Sustainability Program Coordinator at Chihuly Garden and Glass, Washington. As an integral part of our sustainability initiatives, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sustainable practices throughout our organization, with a primary focus on reducing environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive sustainability programs, including energy conservation, waste reduction, and water conservation strategies.
  • Conduct regular environmental assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to minimize our carbon footprint.
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainable practices into daily operations and establish clear sustainability goals for the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to eco-sustainability, and provide strategic recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Engage with external partners, stakeholders, and community organizations to advocate for sustainable initiatives and foster positive environmental impact.
  • Prepare and present reports on the effectiveness of sustainability programs, outlining achievements and recommending further enhancements.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators to measure the success of eco-sustainability initiatives and drive ongoing improvements.
  • Act as a liaison for environmental certifications and compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant standards and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing eco-sustainability programs within a corporate or institutional setting.
  • Strong knowledge of energy management, waste reduction, and environmental assessment techniques.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute initiatives effectively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with internal and external stakeholders on sustainability matters.
  • Proven track record of promoting and implementing sustainable practices to drive positive environmental impact.
  • Understanding of relevant environmental regulations and standards, with experience in compliance and reporting.
  • Dedication to environmental stewardship and a genuine passion for advancing eco-sustainability within the organizational context.
