Husavik Community Arts Center is seeking a talented individual to fill the position of Community Engagement Coordinator. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant and dynamic cultural hub located in the stunning Northeastern Region of Iceland.

Position Overview:

The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for fostering relationships within the local community, organizing and promoting events, and creating engaging opportunities for residents and tourists to participate in our programs. This position is ideal for an individual who possesses strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for arts and culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance community engagement and participation
Collaborate with local organizations and businesses to promote our events and activities
Plan and execute various programs and initiatives to appeal to a wide audience
Manage social media and marketing efforts to increase awareness and attendance
Coordinate with artists, performers, and volunteers to ensure successful events
Evaluate the impact of our programs and make recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in event planning, community outreach, or related areas
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
Effective communication and organizational abilities
A genuine interest in and appreciation for arts and cultural experiences
Fluency in English; knowledge of Icelandic is a plus, but not required
