As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be a key advocate for our organization, working to drive positive change and build long-lasting relationships within the local community. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, organizing outreach programs, and developing initiatives that align with our commitment to social impact and environmental sustainability.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement community engagement strategies that promote social responsibility and environmental awareness.
Collaborate with local businesses, government agencies, and community groups to support our initiatives.
Create engaging content for social media, press releases, and community events to raise awareness of pressing environmental issues.
Organize and execute community events, workshops, and educational programs related to environmental sustainability.
Evaluate the impact of our community engagement efforts and provide regular reports to management.
Assist in fundraising activities and grant applications to support our environmental and social initiatives.
Represent The Salvation Army Australia at networking events and forums to strengthen partnerships with like-minded organizations.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
Proven experience in community engagement, public relations, or a similar role.
Passionate about advocating for social responsibility and environmental conservation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in using various media platforms and technologies to amplify our message.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team.
