Thokomala Orphan Care Organization is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Sustainable Community Development Advocate. As an advocate, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our vision of creating sustainable livelihoods and community development initiatives within the beautiful landscapes of KwaZulu-Natal.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with local community leaders to identify and implement sustainable agricultural and environmental initiatives that will improve the lives of vulnerable households and orphans.
Develop and execute educational programs and workshops to empower and equip local communities with agricultural and rural development skills.
Initiate and manage projects aimed at promoting sustainable farming practices, water conservation, and land management.
Address pressing rural development challenges and contribute to building resilient and self-sustaining communities.
Create and maintain partnerships with local businesses, NGOs, and government agencies to further sustainable community development and agriculture in the region.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or related field.
Proven experience in community engagement, project management, and sustainable development initiatives.
Passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable communities through sustainable agricultural practices and rural development.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a dynamic and collaborative team.
