We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Legal Compliance Specialist to join our esteemed organization, the Big Shoes Foundation, based in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Your Role:

Ensure strict adherence to legal compliance standards and procedures within the foundation.
Review and assess legal documents, contracts, and agreements to identify potential risks and provide recommendations.
Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations, and update internal policies accordingly.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure their activities align with legal requirements.
Conduct internal compliance audits and investigations, and develop corrective actions plans when necessary.
Provide training and guidance on legal compliance matters to staff members.

Requirements:

Proven experience working in a legal compliance role, preferably within the non-profit sector.
In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Relevant qualification in law or a related field.
