About the Role:

As a Regulatory Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that Vermont Public Radio adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards governing our operations. Your crucial role will involve conducting comprehensive reviews, both internal and external, to promote compliance with legal and regulatory requirements specific to the broadcasting industry.

Prepare and submit necessary documentation to regulatory agencies at the local, state, and federal levels
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures
Perform regular audits to identify areas of improvement and report findings to management
Advise on compliance-related matters and assist in developing training programs for staff
Collaborate with different departments to ensure compliance across all aspects of our organization

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a related field
Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in the broadcasting industry
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Prior experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in media or broadcasting
