Position: Sicilian Cultural Collaborator

As a Sicilian Cultural Collaborator, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the rich cultural heritage of Sicily and the dynamic artistic vision of our theater company. Your primary responsibility will be to infuse local Sicilian traditions, customs, and stories into our productions, blending them seamlessly with contemporary art forms.

Responsibilities:

Research and explore the diverse cultural tapestry of Sicily.
Identify unique elements and art forms specific to different regions within Sicily.
Collaborate with our creative team to infuse Sicilian cultural nuances into scripts, set designs, and costumes.
Maintain close relationships with local artists, artisans, and cultural organizations for potential collaborations.
Host workshops and events to engage the community in Sicilian arts and culture.
Ensure authenticity and respect towards the roots of Sicilian traditions while adapting them to modern storytelling.

Requirements:

A deep appreciation and knowledge of Sicilian culture, history, and folklore.
Strong creative and artistic sensibilities.
Experience in theater, performing arts, or related fields.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Fluency in English and Italian; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
