Social Responsibility Officer

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Social Responsibility Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting social responsibility, environmental awareness, and community engagement within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a creative mindset, and a genuine interest in making a positive impact.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social responsibility initiatives and strategies that align with our organization's values and objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate social responsibility practices into daily operations
  • Raise awareness and educate employees on environmental sustainability and community development
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders and build partnerships with local communities, NGOs, and governmental organizations
  • Assess the impact of our organization's activities on the environment and community, and propose solutions for improvement
  • Create and manage social responsibility campaigns, events, and volunteer programs
  • Monitor and report on the progress and effectiveness of social responsibility initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Social Sciences, or Communications
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing social responsibility programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and community development
  • Knowledge of South African environmental regulations and social issues is preferred
  • Experience working with media and public relations is a plus
