Rakiura Adventure Tours is seeking a dynamic and adventurous individual to join our team on Stewart Island, New Zealand. We are a forward-thinking tourism company that specializes in unique outdoor experiences and we are looking for a passionate individual with a military/security background to fill the position of Rapid Response Hiking Expedition Guide.

Responsibilities:

Lead and guide small groups on hiking expeditions through Stewart Island's remote and challenging terrains.
Ensure the safety and security of our guests during outdoor activities.
Conduct risk assessments and develop emergency response plans.
Provide specialized knowledge and training in wilderness survival and navigation.
Encourage environmental awareness and conservation practices among guests.
Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable experiences for our visitors.

Requirements:

Prior experience in the military or security industry, preferably with a focus on expeditionary operations.
A deep understanding and ability to navigate rugged terrains and challenging environmental conditions.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to remain calm and make informed decisions in high-pressure situations.
Strong physical fitness and endurance.
