While our primary focus is on the well-being of marine animals, we are looking to recruit a professional who can contribute their expertise in a role with a related scope.

Position: Coastal Wildlife Care Specialist

Job Overview: As a Coastal Wildlife Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in our organization by ensuring the proper care and rehabilitation of coastal wildlife, with a particular emphasis on sea turtles. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals, volunteers, and researchers to deliver exceptional care for injured, sick, or stranded animals.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate and implement wildlife rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
Assess the health, condition, and behavior of sea turtles and other coastal wildlife.
Create and manage individualized care plans for animals in need.
Administer medication and provide medical treatments as required.
Oversee feeding regimes and ensure the proper nutrition of animals in rehabilitation.
Collaborate with researchers to gather data and contribute to scientific studies.
Assist in public outreach and education to promote the conservation of coastal wildlife.
Maintain detailed records of animal health, progress, and treatments.

Qualifications:

Degree in Biology, Zoology, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
Previous experience in wildlife care, rehabilitation, or related positions.
Knowledge of coastal wildlife, particularly sea turtles, their habits, and conservation needs.
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and volunteers.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Passion for environmental conservation and a commitment to animal welfare.
