Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Legal/Compliance Specialist. As a Legal/Compliance Specialist at Nordic Sustainable Energy, you will play a key role in ensuring our operations are in compliance with local and international laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze contracts, agreements, and legal documents to assess potential risks and ensure compliance
Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to the company and provide guidance on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and human resources, to ensure legal compliance throughout the organization
Develop and maintain relationships with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies
Conduct internal audits and investigations to identify compliance issues and propose corrective actions
Provide trainings and workshops to educate employees on legal and compliance matters

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field
2+ years of experience in legal and compliance roles
Strong knowledge of Finnish and international laws and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience working in the energy or renewable energy sector is a plus
Fluency in English and Finnish
