Position Overview

As an Animal Health Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and optimal health of animals involved in dynamic, interactive environments. This role requires a unique blend of expertise in animal physiology, behavior, and healthcare practices.

Your Responsibilities

Evaluating animal health and identifying any abnormalities
Designing and implementing preventive measures to minimize injury and illness
Collaborating with trainers and entertainment staff to create animal-centric programs
Conducting thorough health examinations and providing veterinary care when necessary
Conducting research on animal health trends and best practices in sports/entertainment industries
Developing and delivering educational materials to enhance animal welfare knowledge

Your Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
Specialization in animal health, biology, or related field
Proven experience in animal welfare, preferably in sports/entertainment environments
Strong understanding of animal behavior, physiology, and nutrition
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and coordinate with diverse stakeholders
Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
