Position: Agricultural Rehabilitation Officer

Your Role:

As an Agricultural Rehabilitation Officer, you will play a crucial role in planning and overseeing agricultural activities within our correctional facilities. You will be responsible for implementing and facilitating the Agricultural Rehabilitation Program, including the development and maintenance of agricultural projects, such as:

  • Greenhouse management
  • Organic farming
  • Animal husbandry
  • Horticulture
  • Small-scale food production

You will work closely with our inmates, guiding, instructing, and supervising their participation in agricultural work. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments and external partners to ensure the success of the program. This role requires a strong understanding of agricultural practices and a compassionate approach to working with individuals in a correctional setting.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field
  • Prior experience in agricultural operations or related industries
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable farming practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Passion for helping individuals in a correctional setting
