About the Role:
As a Wildlife Conservation Specialist at Positive Energy Solar, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe coexistence of renewable energy and wildlife habitats. You will be responsible for assessing the potential impact of solar projects on local wildlife populations and implementing measures to mitigate any adverse effects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate proposed solar installation sites for potential impacts on local wildlife.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of wildlife populations and ecosystems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement wildlife conservation plans.
- Monitor and track the effectiveness of conservation practices and recommend improvements as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant research and industry trends in wildlife conservation and renewable energy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in wildlife conservation or environmental management.
- Strong knowledge of New Mexico's native flora and fauna.
- Working understanding of renewable energy systems and their potential impacts on wildlife.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
