Position: Eco-Tourism Coordinator



About NEET:

NEET works diligently to protect Nakuru's natural resources and foster eco-friendly tourism practices. We believe in the power of education and community engagement to create lasting positive change.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sustainable tourism initiatives that promote Nakuru's unique natural landscapes and wildlife
  • Create engaging tour packages and organize educational activities to raise awareness about environmental conservation
  • Liaise with local communities, accommodations, and tour operators to ensure responsible tourism practices
  • Coordinate marketing efforts to attract domestic and international tourists
  • Provide guidance and support to tourists, ensuring an exceptional experience while respecting the environment


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field (Master's preferred)
  • Proven experience in tourism, environmental education, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of Nakuru's natural attractions and cultural heritage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with a flexible approach
  • Passion for ecological conservation and sustainable tourism
