Umthombo Youth Development Foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for the youth of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team and contribute to our mission of empowering the local community through sustainable transportation solutions.
Position: Eco-Mobility Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable mobility strategies in line with our organization's goals
- Coordinate and collaborate with local stakeholders to promote eco-friendly transportation initiatives
- Evaluate existing transportation systems in the region and identify areas for improvement
- Manage projects related to the adoption of clean energy and green transportation technologies
- Organize events and campaigns to raise awareness about sustainable mobility options
- Provide training and education to the community on eco-mobility practices
- Monitor and report on the environmental impact of transportation activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Urban Planning, or related field
- Experience in project management, preferably within the transportation sector
- Knowledge of sustainable transportation practices, including alternative fuels, electric vehicles, and bike-sharing programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for environmental conservation and social responsibility
