Umthombo Youth Development Foundation is dedicated to creating opportunities for the youth of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team and contribute to our mission of empowering the local community through sustainable transportation solutions.

Position: Eco-Mobility Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sustainable mobility strategies in line with our organization's goals
Coordinate and collaborate with local stakeholders to promote eco-friendly transportation initiatives
Evaluate existing transportation systems in the region and identify areas for improvement
Manage projects related to the adoption of clean energy and green transportation technologies
Organize events and campaigns to raise awareness about sustainable mobility options
Provide training and education to the community on eco-mobility practices
Monitor and report on the environmental impact of transportation activities

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Urban Planning, or related field
Experience in project management, preferably within the transportation sector
Knowledge of sustainable transportation practices, including alternative fuels, electric vehicles, and bike-sharing programs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Passion for environmental conservation and social responsibility
