Position: Legal Specialist

Job Description:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to the school administration and staff
  • Review and draft contracts, agreements, and legal documents
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the education sector
  • Handle legal disputes and assist in dispute resolution processes
  • Conduct legal research and keep updated on legal developments relevant to the school
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance and risk management
  • Develop and deliver legal training programs for staff

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Law or related field
  • Valid legal practitioner license
  • Prior experience working in the education sector will be advantageous
  • Excellent knowledge of South African legal system and education laws
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
