We are excited to announce a new opportunity to be part of the Irish Wheelchair Association in Dublin, Ireland! We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Mobility Support Specialist.

Role Overview:

As a Mobility Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing personalized assistance and support to individuals with unique mobility needs. You will work closely with our clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored solutions to enhance their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess clients' mobility challenges and develop suitable solutions
Deliver training on assistive technology for mobility
Provide guidance on adapting living spaces for accessibility
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes
Offer emotional support and empower clients to overcome barriers
Stay up-to-date with advancements in mobility aids and devices

Requirements:

Passionate about improving the lives of individuals with mobility challenges
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge or experience in a related field, e.g. physical therapy or occupational therapy
Strong problem-solving abilities
Empathy, patience, and understanding
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Familiarity with accessibility laws and best practices
Time management and organizational skills
