Responsibilities:

Evaluate current practices and identify opportunities for improving sustainability within our school district
Develop and implement initiatives to reduce energy consumption, waste generation, and carbon footprint
Collaborate with staff, students, and community partners to raise awareness and promote sustainability initiatives
Assist in developing educational programs to educate students and staff about sustainable practices
Coordinate recycling programs and explore innovative waste reduction strategies
Stay up-to-date with local, state, and national environmental regulations and help ensure compliance

Requirements:

A strong passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact
Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, sustainability, or a related field
Prior experience in sustainability initiatives or project management preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to think creatively and inspire others
Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and best practices
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
