Position: Animal Welfare Coordinator
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Animal Welfare Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various animal welfare programs and initiatives within the Eastern Cape region. You will work closely with local communities, organizations, and veterinary clinics to promote animal health and welfare.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement animal welfare programs and initiatives
- Collaborate with local communities and organizations to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership
- Coordinate spay/neuter campaigns and vaccination drives
- Facilitate educational workshops and training sessions on animal welfare
- Respond to animal welfare concerns and investigate cruelty cases
- Network with veterinary clinics for medical support and services
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Veterinary Science, Animal Science, Biology)
- Prior experience in animal welfare or a related field
- Knowledge of animal care, nutrition, and behavior
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
