Position: Environmental Stewardship Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote environmental stewardship within the agriculture/rural community.
- Collaborate with local farmers, agricultural organizations, and government agencies to identify best agricultural practices that align with sustainable development goals.
- Create educational initiatives and campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability in agriculture/rural settings.
- Conduct research and analysis to assess the environmental impact of agricultural practices and recommend improvements.
- Stay updated on state and federal regulations related to agriculture and environmental conservation.
- Engage with stakeholders to foster partnerships that support environmental conservation efforts.
- Develop and manage environmental programs, grants, and funds to support sustainable agriculture practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the agriculture/rural industry and related environmental challenges.
- Experience in project management and coordinating initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of sustainable agriculture practices and agricultural technology is a plus.
