Durban Society for the Aged, a leading organization providing care and support to the elderly in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, is looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as a Production Supervisor. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing department by overseeing production processes and driving efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise a team of production workers, assigning tasks and monitoring performance
Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and meet quality standards
Create and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of orders
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock availability
Implement safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
Identify and troubleshoot production issues, proposing effective solutions

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative work environment
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
