Role Description

Provide daily care and support to a wide range of animal species, including their feeding, grooming, and exercise needs
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of their habitats while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment
Administer medications and follow prescribed treatment plans, under the supervision of veterinarians
Assist in handling and restraining animals during medical procedures and examinations
Observe and document animal behavior, noting any changes or potential health concerns
Interact with pet owners, offering guidance on proper animal care and answering their questions
Support the team in maintaining accurate records of animal health, inventory, and related administrative tasks
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new initiatives for animal welfare and enrichment

Requirements

Prior experience working with animals in a professional or volunteer capacity
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing them with the best care possible
Understanding of different animal species and their specific needs and behaviors
Strong observational skills with the ability to identify signs of distress, illness, or behavioral changes
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with pet owners and team members effectively
Dedication to following protocols, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety standards
Flexibility to work on weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
Fluency in English (French or German is a plus)
Certifications in animal care, veterinary assistance, or related fields are advantageous
