We are currently seeking individuals to join our team to create a more inclusive environment at the intersection of art, culture, and sustainable living. This position encourages cross-cultural exchange and emphasizes the importance of multicultural understanding within our museum community.

Position: Sustainable Living and Multicultural Outreach Coordinator

This exciting position revolves around implementing sustainable and environmentally friendly practices in agriculture and rural areas, while promoting cultural exchange and understanding. By fostering a diverse and inclusive environment, the coordinator will enhance the community's engagement with our museum and build partnerships with local farmers, artisans, and rural communities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local agricultural organizations, rural communities, and cultural societies.
  • Organize cultural exchange programs and events that showcase the relationship between art, agriculture, and sustainable living.
  • Coordinate educational workshops for local farmers, focusing on sustainable farming practices.
  • Collaborate with artists, curators, and community members to create exhibitions and events that celebrate multiculturalism and farm-to-table initiatives.
  • Promote inclusivity and diversity within the museum, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all visitors.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A background in agriculture, rural development, or a related field.
  • Passion for multicultural exchange, sustainability, and the arts.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively engage with diverse groups.
  • Experience in event planning and project management.
  • Knowledge of sustainable farming practices and rural community dynamics.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and Norwegian; additional languages are a plus.
