Wildlife Conservation Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Valle d'Aosta Regional Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in the beautiful Aosta Valley, Italy. As a Wildlife Conservation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in preserving and protecting the region's diverse wildlife and natural habitats.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys and research to assess the status of local wildlife populations and their habitats.
  • Develop and implement conservation strategies to promote the sustainable management of natural resources.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, environmental organizations, and local communities to raise awareness about wildlife conservation.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental impact assessments and mitigation measures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation programs and recommend improvements.
  • Participate in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured or orphaned wildlife.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in wildlife research, conservation, or environmental management.
  • Strong knowledge of local flora and fauna, as well as environmental laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work in challenging outdoor conditions.
