We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at Valle d'Aosta Regional Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in the beautiful Aosta Valley, Italy. As a Wildlife Conservation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in preserving and protecting the region's diverse wildlife and natural habitats.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field surveys and research to assess the status of local wildlife populations and their habitats.
- Develop and implement conservation strategies to promote the sustainable management of natural resources.
- Collaborate with government agencies, environmental organizations, and local communities to raise awareness about wildlife conservation.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental impact assessments and mitigation measures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation programs and recommend improvements.
- Participate in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of injured or orphaned wildlife.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in wildlife research, conservation, or environmental management.
- Strong knowledge of local flora and fauna, as well as environmental laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in challenging outdoor conditions.
