About the Position

As an Advanced Technology Specialist, you will be responsible for researching, evaluating, and implementing advanced technologies in our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for technological advancements in the production processes, machinery, and equipment. The primary goal of this role is to enhance efficiency, productivity, and environmental sustainability within DEP's manufacturing initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze current manufacturing practices and identify areas for improvement
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend advanced technologies relevant to manufacturing processes, such as automation, robotics, and data analytics
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop implementation strategies for new technologies
  • Oversee the implementation of selected technologies, ensuring effective integration and minimal disruption to daily operations
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the implemented technologies, identifying issues and proposing necessary adjustments
  • Provide technical training and support to staff involved in utilizing advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with a focus on technology implementation and optimization
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation
  • Proficiency in identifying and evaluating advanced technologies applicable to the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives forward
  • Experience with data analysis and interpretation for process improvement
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and a commitment to sustainable practices
