Deltares, a leading research institute in Zeeland, Netherlands, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Supply Chain Optimization Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize supply chain processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
- Analyze data and identify areas for improvement, such as reducing transportation costs, minimizing inventory levels, and enhancing overall supply chain performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline logistics operations, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop reports to track progress and identify opportunities for optimization
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in supply chain optimization, preferably in a complex and dynamic environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
