Position Overview

As an Advocacy Champion at Californi, you will play a critical role in championing the rights and interests of our society. This high-impact position requires someone with excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, and a genuine passion for making a difference.

Responsibilities:

Lobby and advocate for policies and programs that support the overall well-being and advancement of our community.
Educate and engage stakeholders, including lawmakers, community leaders, and the public, on important social issues.
Proactively monitor and analyze legislative developments, proposing strategies and actions to influence positive change.
Collaborate with diverse organizations and individuals to build coalitions and amplify our collective voice.
Develop and implement effective advocacy campaigns to raise awareness and mobilize public support.
Coordinate grassroots efforts, including organizing events, meetings, and rallies to mobilize supporters.
Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, policies, and research within the social sector.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in social sciences, public policy, or a related field.
Proven experience in advocacy, government relations, or a related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Passion for social justice and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by our communities.
