As a Community Sustainability Specialist, you will play a critical role in assessing and mitigating risks associated with agricultural practices while promoting sustainable solutions within rural areas. You will collaborate with stakeholders from various cultural backgrounds, fostering an inclusive work environment where diverse perspectives are valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the environmental impact of agricultural practices on rural communities
  • Identify and address potential risks related to agriculture, such as soil contamination, pesticide use, and resource depletion
  • Develop and implement sustainable strategies to improve agricultural practices
  • Educate farmers and rural communities about sustainable farming techniques
  • Collaborate with local and international stakeholders to promote cross-cultural understanding and knowledge exchange
  • Conduct research and analysis to provide evidence-based recommendations for policymakers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Agricultural Economics, or a related field
  • Experience in assessing environmental risks within rural communities
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of agricultural policies and regulations in Germany and the European Union
  • Fluency in English and German
