As a Community Sustainability Specialist, you will play a critical role in assessing and mitigating risks associated with agricultural practices while promoting sustainable solutions within rural areas. Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the environmental impact of agricultural practices on rural communities
- Identify and address potential risks related to agriculture, such as soil contamination, pesticide use, and resource depletion
- Develop and implement sustainable strategies to improve agricultural practices
- Educate farmers and rural communities about sustainable farming techniques
- Collaborate with local and international stakeholders to promote cross-cultural understanding and knowledge exchange
- Conduct research and analysis to provide evidence-based recommendations for policymakers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Agricultural Economics, or a related field
- Experience in assessing environmental risks within rural communities
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of agricultural policies and regulations in Germany and the European Union
- Fluency in English and German
