Job Description:
As an Advanced Legal Compliance Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, while leveraging your expertise to drive innovation and optimize legal processes. Reporting to the legal department, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing expert legal advice and guidance to various departments within the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement legal compliance strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential compliance gaps and risks.
- Advise on legal matters related to tourism, cultural heritage, and relevant areas.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Assist in resolving legal disputes, including participating in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, assess potential impact on the organization, and recommend necessary actions.
- Deliver training sessions on compliance and legal matters to educate internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex legal matters.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the legal field.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field; additional certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience working in legal compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of local, national, and international laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and verbal.
- Experience in the tourism industry or cultural heritage preservation is desirable.
