We are seeking an individual who has a passion for law and a keen eye for detail. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing legal matters pertaining to our diverse portfolio of properties. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating potential legal risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing strategic legal advice to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide legal support and guidance on various projects and transactions.
Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements, including lease agreements, service contracts, and vendor agreements.
Conduct legal research and analysis, staying up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the real estate industry.
Assist in resolving and managing legal disputes and litigation cases, both in court and through alternative dispute resolution methods.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Provide educational training sessions to enhance legal awareness among employees and promote a culture of ethical and legal conduct.
Stay informed about industry best practices and implement innovative legal strategies to drive the organization's success.

Requirements:

A recognized legal qualification and admission as an attorney or advocate in South Africa.
Proven experience working in a legal role within the commercial real estate sector.
Strong knowledge of South African property law, commercial law, and relevant legislation.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using legal research tools and technology.
