Position: Geospatial Analyst

As a Geospatial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in harnessing geographic data to support agricultural and rural systems in Trøndelag. Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to gather and analyze geospatial data related to soil composition, vegetation, and climate patterns.
Developing and maintaining databases and geographic information systems (GIS) for agricultural planning and land management.
Utilizing remote-sensing data to monitor crop health, yield predictions, and land-use change within the region.
Identifying opportunities to improve agricultural practices, soil fertility, and resource allocation through advanced geospatial analysis.
Providing technical expertise and guidance on geospatial analysis tools and methodologies to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

A degree in Geomatics, Geographical Information Science (GIS), Environmental Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in GIS software, such as ArcGIS or QGIS, and geospatial analysis techniques.
Experience in collecting, processing, and interpreting geospatial data, ideally in an agricultural or rural context.
Familiarity with remote sensing, spatial statistics, and data visualization methods.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex findings effectively.
A passion for leveraging geospatial insights to drive sustainable agricultural practices.
