At Ricketts Conservation Foundation, we are on a mission to preserve and protect the natural wonders of Nebraska. We are looking for passionate individuals to join our Wildlife Stewardship Team and make a real difference in the lives of our native creatures.
Job Title: Habitat Restoration Specialist
As a Habitat Restoration Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating and maintaining a safe and thriving ecosystem for our local wildlife. You will be responsible for surveying and assessing habitats, designing and implementing restoration plans, and monitoring the progress of ongoing projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct wildlife habitat surveys and assessments
- Develop and execute restoration plans to enhance habitat quality
- Collaborate with a team of conservationists on project implementation
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of restoration efforts
- Collect and analyze ecological data for research purposes
- Provide technical guidance and support to landowners and partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Experience in habitat restoration or wildlife management
- Knowledge of native Nebraska flora and fauna
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for wildlife conservation
