Skyborne Systems Specialist

In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of aerial operations, focusing on cutting-edge technologies and advancements in the field. You will work closely with a team of aviation enthusiasts to ensure the effective and safe use of aerial systems within the Saskatchewan region.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of aerial systems strategies and initiatives
  • Perform regular evaluations of airborne equipment and technology, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas of improvement and opportunities for innovation
  • Implement risk management strategies and develop contingency plans for potential issues or emergencies
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support the SLGA's aviation operations
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aviation operations or related technical roles
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aerial systems, unmanned aircraft, and aerospace technology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Valid pilot's license and considerable flying experience (preferred)
  • Understanding of aviation regulations and safety protocols
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
