Role Description

As a Community Engagement Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies to engage our local community both on and off the field. Your key duties will include:

Creating and executing community outreach initiatives to attract new players, volunteers, and sponsors
Organizing and coordinating events that promote hockey as a fun and inclusive sport
Collaborating with local schools, clubs, and organizations to establish partnerships and promote hockey programs
Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, such as local government bodies and media outlets
Providing exceptional customer service to ensure positive experiences for all who visit our centre

Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

A genuine passion for sports, particularly hockey, and promoting an active lifestyle
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse groups
Strong organizational and project management abilities
Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative ideas for community engagement
Experience in event planning and coordination
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
