The City of Sarasota is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our dynamic team in the role of Community Sustainability Coordinator. As a key player in our mission to promote environmental conservation and community resiliency, this role will focus on supporting diverse sustainable initiatives within the Sarasota area.

Responsibilities:

Develop and oversee community programs that promote sustainable practices
Collaborate with local farmers and stakeholders to enhance agricultural initiatives
Implement strategies to improve rural development and enhance local agriculture
Conduct research on innovative sustainability practices in urban and rural settings
Manage projects related to community agriculture and rural sustainability

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Sustainability, or a related field
3+ years of experience in environmental sustainability or agricultural development
Strong project management skills with a focus on community engagement
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Passion for promoting sustainable practices and environmental awareness
