We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team at North Carolina Aquariums in beautiful North Carolina. As an organization deeply committed to research and innovation, we are excited to recruit a Research and Innovation Specialist to drive our scientific efforts forward.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement research projects aimed at advancing our understanding of marine ecosystems and conservation
- Design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and interpret results
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop research collaborations and secure funding opportunities
- Stay updated on the latest developments and trends in marine research and conservation science
- Prepare and present research findings at scientific conferences and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Provide expertise and guidance to support the development of innovative approaches for improving aquarium operations and visitor engagement
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Marine Biology, Ecology, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in planning, executing, and managing research projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data visualization tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
