North Carolina Foundation for Soil and Water Conservation is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Conservation Development Specialist!

We are looking for a dedicated professional who can collaborate with stakeholders to promote responsible land management, advocate for soil and water conservation, and drive positive change in North Carolina's environmental landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement conservation plans that focus on soil health, water quality, and sustainable land use practices.
  • Engage with landowners, communities, and government agencies to promote conservation initiatives.
  • Conduct field assessments to evaluate conservation needs and opportunities.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices for soil and water management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Agriculture, Natural Resources Management, or related field.
  • Experience in land conservation, environmental stewardship, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to soil and water conservation is a plus.
