We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting responsible transportation practices within the Free State community. As a Sustainable Transportation Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in achieving these goals and contributing to our vision of a greener future.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation efficiency while minimizing environmental impact
Collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and government agencies to promote sustainable transportation initiatives
Create and manage transportation programs aimed at reducing traffic congestion and vehicle emissions
Analyze data and generate reports on transportation metrics, including fuel consumption, emissions, and alternative transportation usage
Evaluate and recommend environmentally friendly transportation technologies, such as electric vehicles
Coordinate with transportation service providers to improve public transportation options
Organize community outreach events to raise awareness about sustainable transportation and encourage behavior change

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or Engineering
Prior experience in transportation planning, sustainability, or a related field
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data
Knowledge of sustainable transportation practices and emerging trends
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Passion for environmental conservation and social responsibility
