We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team at Göteborgsvarvet Half Marathon, an industry-leading event in Västra Götalands län, Sweden. As the Sustainable Operations Manager, you will play a key role in driving our company's commitment to social responsibility and environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable operational strategies and initiatives for our event
- Evaluate and improve the company's environmental impact through waste reduction, recycling programs, and energy efficiency measures
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the social and environmental performance of the event
- Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
- Research and implement sustainable practices in various operational areas, including transportation, logistics, and resource management
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business, or related field
- Proven experience in sustainable operations management or a related role
- Strong knowledge of environmental practices and regulations
- Excellent project management and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
