The Fribourg Tourism Board is passionate about promoting sustainable leisure activities and preserving the environment. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in Fribourg, Switzerland, in a role that encompasses a wide range of responsibilities related to sports and entertainment.

Position: Recreation Outreach Specialist

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging recreational programs to promote an active and healthy lifestyle within the local community.
Collaborate with external organizations and civic groups to organize events that promote social responsibility and environmental awareness.
Coordinate and promote various sports and recreational activities, highlighting Fribourg's scenic landscapes and cultural heritage.
Create interactive campaigns and initiatives to educate locals and tourists about sustainable tourism practices.
Conduct research and gather data on current trends in outdoor sports, eco-tourism, and entertainment industries.
Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling content highlighting Fribourg's commitment to environmental preservation.
Work closely with local businesses to develop partnerships and sponsorship opportunities to support recreational initiatives.

Requirements:

A genuine passion for sports, outdoor activities, and promoting sustainable leisure pursuits.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in event planning, coordinating, or organizing recreational programs.
Knowledge of environmental issues and a commitment to promoting ecological responsibility.
Excellent research and analytical abilities to gather relevant data and identify emerging trends.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and German (additional languages are a plus).
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
