The Fribourg Tourism Board is passionate about promoting sustainable leisure activities and preserving the environment. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in Fribourg, Switzerland, in a role that encompasses a wide range of responsibilities related to sports and entertainment.
Position: Recreation Outreach Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging recreational programs to promote an active and healthy lifestyle within the local community.
- Collaborate with external organizations and civic groups to organize events that promote social responsibility and environmental awareness.
- Coordinate and promote various sports and recreational activities, highlighting Fribourg's scenic landscapes and cultural heritage.
- Create interactive campaigns and initiatives to educate locals and tourists about sustainable tourism practices.
- Conduct research and gather data on current trends in outdoor sports, eco-tourism, and entertainment industries.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling content highlighting Fribourg's commitment to environmental preservation.
- Work closely with local businesses to develop partnerships and sponsorship opportunities to support recreational initiatives.
Requirements:
- A genuine passion for sports, outdoor activities, and promoting sustainable leisure pursuits.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in event planning, coordinating, or organizing recreational programs.
- Knowledge of environmental issues and a commitment to promoting ecological responsibility.
- Excellent research and analytical abilities to gather relevant data and identify emerging trends.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and German (additional languages are a plus).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
