Position: Animal Care Specialist

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Animal Care Specialist to help us in our day-to-day operations. As an Animal Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:

Providing quality care, including feeding, grooming, and administering medication to animals
Ensuring the overall well-being and comfort of animals in our care
Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment in the shelter
Assisting with behavioral assessments and training of animals
Coordinating with veterinary staff on medical needs and procedures
Assisting in the adoption process and conducting meet-and-greets with potential adopters

Requirements:

To excel in this position, you should meet the following requirements:

Prior experience working with animals, preferable in a shelter or veterinary setting
Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques
Ability to lift and carry animals of various sizes and weights
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
