Universitat de les Illes Balears (UIB) is seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as a Multicultural Engagement Specialist. As a leading educational institution in the Balearic Islands, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance multicultural engagement within our university community. Your primary focus will be on leveraging the power of digital platforms and technology to promote cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute innovative initiatives to foster multiculturalism and inclusivity on campus.
- Develop and manage social media campaigns that celebrate diversity and engage our diverse student body.
- Collaborate with various departments to organize multicultural events, workshops, and seminars.
- Monitor and analyze social media trends to identify opportunities for enhancing multicultural engagement.
- Create compelling content for our university's digital platforms, including blog posts, videos, and infographics.
- Establish partnerships with external organizations to expand our multicultural network.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communication, Cultural Studies, International Relations).
- Proven experience in community engagement, event planning, or social media management.
- Strong understanding of multiculturalism and diversity issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms and digital tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
